Wow: I'm lazy

Didn't realize how much I could forget about this blog. I think I need to create a seperate blog alarm in my room, letting me know when to post.

The Magic Numbers, Britished based band, are just an all around fun band to listen to. I would call it "jumpy indie pop / whinny retro". I think that's something I'm going to start do more often; explain music with ridiculous definitions (they're all ridiculous these days any way). But that description makes sense when their influences are Dylan, Moma and The Papas, Lovin Spoonful.

The band is really the product of Romeo Stodart (lead guitarist and singer). Then comes Sean Gannon, the drummer. Romeo and Sean work around the clock hammering these tunes out. Both Sean and Romeo have their sisters in the band. Michelle Stodart on bass and vocals and Angela Gannon works percussion, melodica and third vocals. We've got some "Brady Bunch" vibe going on if you ask me. But just like the Brady's, this family band has some very "Sun Shining Day" sounds going on.

The album to buy is their self titled album. It was released on Capitol records here in the states and they are on Heavenly Recordings in England. Go ahead, give the tracks below a listen and then purchase the album at your local music store, or here at Amazon.
